The Gunners are seeking to get in as many goal-scorers as possible ahead of next season, and would be hoping Callejon - who netted 32 goals in two Serie A seasons for Napoli, can contribute a fair share albeit from the flanks, with Mesut Ozil expected to be pushed to his favourite “number 10” role.
Callejon’s future with Napoli appear to be in doubt following manager Rafael Benitez’s departure to Real Madrid and according to SportMediaset, talks are underway over a deal with Arsenal, with the 28-year-old winger said to be open to the move.
“Callejon could open the doors to the Premier league. The Spaniard in fact likes Arsenal, which De Laurentiis asked £25million for. This will be discussed in the coming days”. According to SportMediaset
The former Real Madrid star who has also been linked with Liverpool and Sevilla recently, would cost the Gunners around £17.9million to acquire his services this summer.
