Arsenal have moved swiftly in their bid to bring in another striker this summer with a shock bid reportedly tabled for Bundesliga star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

This report is according to Sky Sports, who claim the Gunners have table a surprise bid of £28.7million to Borussia Dortmund for their star forward Aubameyang.

It is no news of Arsene Wenger’s plan to bring in another striker this summer to strengthen his side as he seeks to clinch a first Premier League title in over a decade.

Sky Sports also claim that Wenger remains keen on securing the services of the pacy 26-year-old striker, despite Dortmund’s unwillingness to sell.

The Bundesliga club see the French-born Gabon international as an indispensable member of their squad and are unwilling to do business; leaving Arsenal with the only hope of the player pushing for the move to happen.

Last season, Aubameyang scored 25 goals and assisted a further 10 for BVB.
