Paris Saint Germain forward Ezequiel Lavezzi has been offered to Arsenal this summer, according to reports.
The Gunners are in the market for a proven goal poacher to add to their ranks this summer, and this has seen the club linked to several star strikers including Karim Benzema and Edinson Cavani.
And now, reports have it that Argentine international Lavezzi has been offered to Arsenal as a cheaper but quality option to Benzema and Cavani - with each of them expected to command in excess of £40million to acquire their signature.
Lavezzi is deemed surplus to requirement at his current club, and is a target for other Premier League clubs including Manchester United.
Ezequiel arrived at PSG from Napoli along with Edinson Cavani in 2012, and has been in and around the starting eleven ever since - scoring 20 goals in 91 appearances.
But with the arrival of Angel Di Maria to PSG this summer, Lavezzi’s first team chances is now being threatened, and reports now suggest the talented forward will fancy his chances elsewhere.
The 30-year-old, who is rated at £8.5million and earns £95,000-a-week, is reported to be a top option for the Gunners.
